IMS-VSI
Video Synchronisation Input Card
Video signal input module
The VSI (Video Synchronisation Input) card provides video signals to an IMS clock module as reference. It can process Black Burst (PAL), LTC (Linear Time Code) and programmable Word Clock Rates.
Furthermore the board has a 1PPS input to Synchronise the receiver module.
Role as Black Burst-to-PTP converter
The IMS-VSI enables users to set up a Black Burst-to-PTP converter with a LANTIME IMS system. This requires a VSI input module and an HPS100 module in PTP Grandmaster mode. The internal clock module is Synchronised via the video input signal. The receiver module then serves the HPS100 card with an accurate and stable time base.
